Kayla, Andy and I attended a wonderful teen conference in Hunt at the end of May. The kids spent three days at a YMCA camp, where we rode horses, swam, hiked and attend wonderful firesides. On the last night we had a testimony meeting where the testimonies that were bore were some of the strongest that I have ever heard from youth, I felt privileged to be there and witness such amazing young people. I think for me, one of the greatest things was that all of the youth at the conference where homeschoolers. It is a rare treat for me and my teens to be able to spend that kind of quality time with others that school like we do. Homeschooling makes us different then the other kids in the neighborhood and it is nice to spend the weekend not being different.
I love homeschooling and am thankful for the friends that I have that homeschool also, they keep me sane and remembering that I can do this.
